Awards Season

Award season isn’t just for movies, no indeed!  On Feb. 22nd the Nebula Awards listed their nominees for 2010, and today the Locus Awards followed suit.  Take a gander at the titles, and you’ll see what an amazingly good year SF/Fantasy had!  It’s wholly encouraging.

A special congratulatory shout out to two who are always awesome and divine: M.K. Hobson and Felicity Shoulders!  M.K.‘s novel, The Native Star (Spectra), is nominated in the Nebula’s “novel” category, and the Locus’s “best new novel” category.  Felicity’s “Conditional Love” (Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine 1/10) is nominated in the Short Story category for both awards.

Such goodness!  If you haven’t already, find ‘em and read ‘em!

Oh … and the 2011 Hugo Awards nominations are open!  Award season!  All around us!  I have a good deal of reading to do.

Because I am officious like that, I will make the finding easy by posting a link to my story, now free and online and all that jazz: linketty.
